Dodo Décor, Mauritius; Wooden Carved Craft with Colorful Glass Mosaic

Mauritius, an island in the Indian Ocean, is revered for its natural beauty.  Coastal routes show pretty beaches and sleepy fishing villages.  A drive inland takes visitors to national parks, rum distilleries, sugar cane fields and tea plantations.  Along the way, craft markets display colorful textiles, wood art, wood sculptures and ceramics.  These artisanal crafts mimic the vibrant local culture and life.  Our featured dodo décor is carved in wood and has colorful glass mosaic in the center.  Measures: dodo decor (height 9 1/2 inches, width 15 1/2 inches).
