Sequim Lavender Festival, Canvas of Colorful Flower Plants
Every summer, the town of Sequim and nearby lavender farms receive an influx of visitors. The Sequim Lavender Festival takes place in July, revealing a canvas of colorful flower plants. The lavender farms are situated in the picturesque Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. The lavender farms are free to visit and have many varieties of lavender plants cultivated across acres of land. We select a few lavender farms to explore. We recommend B&B Family Lavender Farm, Lavender Connection, Jardin de Soleil Lavender Farm and Purple Haze Lavender Farm. We stay at the George Washington Inn, overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and scenic lavender fields intertwined with wild flowers.
B&B Family Lavender Farm
B&B Family Lavender Farm cultivates many varieties of lavender plants. We start the tour inside the wooden barn, learning about the harvesting, processing and distillation of lavender. We observe lavender bouquets hanging and drying in the barn. The gift shop features lavender essential oils made from diverse lavender plants. We explore the expansive fields, cutting lavender stems and creating beautiful bouquets.
Lavender Connection
Lavender Connection is a family-owned farm. The picturesque farm has expansive lavender fields, offering a colorful display of 50 different varieties. It is a beautiful setting to relax, take pictures and cutting lavender stems to create beautiful bouquets. Lavender Connection offers a wonderful collection of aromatic lavender oils.
Jardin de Soleil Lavender Farm
Jardin de Soleil Lavender Farm is a certified organic farm. The lavender plants are visible across 10 acres of land. We observe beautiful display of colors, showing shades of purple, pink and white. A collection of red poppies is visible across the lavender fields. Visitors shall browse the gift shop, displaying diverse souvenirs, artworks and lavender essential oils.
Purple Haze Lavender Farm
A walk through the fields of Purple Haze Lavender Farms reveals a picture-perfect scenery. We observe multi-colored rows of lavender and helichrysum plants spread across 7 acres of land. It is a beautiful place to appreciate the scent of lavender and helichrysum flowers, admire the tranquil scenery and sample delicious ice cream and lavender lemonade.
George Washington Inn
George Washington Inn is a magnificent waterfront mansion, situated along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. During the season, the driveway leading to the George Washington Inn is lined with colorful wild flowers. The verandas and dining space offer panoramic views. The George Washington Inn, surrounded by lavender fields and beautiful nature, is a perfect place to relax and explore the town and the surrounding lavender farms. We spend a few blissful days admiring the coastal views and inhaling the scents of the lavender fields.
